Kate and Luke got given good advice for their wedding. Anna, a wedding coordinator based in Auckland (Our Pacific / Our Wedding) helped them to put everything together. They had a stunning island wedding rather than staying on the mainland. The vistas were beautiful turquoise clear waters, and white sand. These are a few words from Kate :

“Musket Cove had great wedding packages available that covered pretty much everything which is what we were looking for. We liked the look of the whole resort and had heard only positive things about Musket Cove.

Any tips to give for future brides about getting married in Fiji? 

Don’t go over the top. You are in such a beautiful country with beautiful surroundings that simplicity is the key.

The resorts do weddings all the time so listen to their suggestions as they know what works and what doesn’t.

We loved the whole day as it was so relaxed. No one was running around making sure this or that was getting done as Musket Cove took care of everything which meant we could enjoy getting ready without the fuss. Musket Cove put together a perfect wedding and I wouldn’t change anything about the whole day. Also the food and the cake were delicious!

Musket Cove organised all of our flowers as it was included in the wedding package. I had the choice of white, pink gingers or tropical. This for me was an easy decision and went with tropical. They were so beautifully done and weren’t over the top. We got heaps of comments on the day about how beautiful the flowers were.

Our photographer was amazing! She made everything super easy and we had a laugh along the way. Luke and I aren’t super photogenic people but Anais straight away put us a ease. We loved how she went around all our friends and family and got photos of each couple and just blended in and took photos while we were all socialising and enjoying ourselves.

We had also said we wanted natural photos and she 100% got this right. We loved the slideshow she put together and have loved showing our family and friends. ”

Luke’s outfit : Ballantynes in Christchurch (still felt dressy but wasn’t over the top and was paired this with a linen shirt so he didn’t over heat).
