Anna and Ben didn’t like the idea of having a ceremony in front of their entire family and friends. They preferred an intimate exchange of vows and to have a party with their dearest later on back in Australia. They chose the Hilton, Denarau, Fiji to tie the knot.

Anna did her own make-up (had lashes extensions done back home) and was wearing a gorgeous lacy and delicate wedding dress, which was perfect for the beach. Her pearled and sparkly hair piece was adopting her bun beautiful and matched her earrings and subtle bracelet. Ben was wearing a light blue suit with a white shirt and had a button hole made of ginger flowers made by the Hilton, assorted to the bride’s bouquet.

Why did you choose the Hilton? How was your experience with the resort?

We chose the Hilton as we really liked the look of the resort, reviews and the fact that it wasn’t far from the airport. The elopement package was an easy choice for the two of us as the whole idea was for the event to be stress free. The events co-ordinator was really easy to deal with and took care of everything.

Any tips to give for future brides about getting married in Fiji?

Double check your partners packing as shops may not be close by! (Ben had forgotten his belt!)

How did you enjoy the day?

The day was great, so stress free! We even had a sleep in. We were a little worried about the weather but it came good in the afternoon and ended with a lovely sunset. The ceremony was lovely with a few enthusiastic hotel guests cheering on from balconies. The pre-ordered meals & drinks were amazing at our little private table on the beach. We had a private waiter for the night and the staff sang us a traditional Fijian song.

Where did your flowers came from?

All flowers were supplied by the resort as part of the elopement package.

What about hair and make-up?

I had my hair done at the resort day spa in the afternoon and did my own make-up.

How was your experience with the photographer 😉 ?

Anais was great, so easy to communicate with before the day! She came to our room to get to know each other and get a few snaps before the ceremony. Both of us hate having our photos taken so we definitely needed someone who made us feel comfortable which she definitely did! Anais even helped me with my dress as we didn’t have any guests. She had great knowledge of photo locations near the ceremony and knew how to work that sunset!
