A laid-back wedding at the Hilton, Denarau Fiji

Andrea and Justin wanted a relaxed wedding in paradise, which the Hilton Denarau Fiji offered. They had about 40 of their closest and dearest family and friends, who flew from New Zealand to celebrate their union.

Anna Wilson from Our weddings / Our World helped them to make that happen smoothly from New Zealand with her great knowledge about weddings in Fiji. It was a gorgeous day with much joy and a big sun!

The Fijian team Paradise bride put together a beautiful set up for the ceremony and the reception with exotic flowers and fairy lights. They also created a superb bouquet for the bride and button hole for the groom. And the hair and make was done with the very talented and professional touch of Totoka hair and make up.

These are Andrea’s words :

Why did you choose the Hilton? How was your experience with the resort?

We chose the Hilton for our wedding as the wedding package and venue was exactly what we were looking for. Our wedding coordinator Caireen from the Hilton was amazing, she was easy to deal with from NZ leading up to the wedding and even more amazing when we arrived at the Hilton.

Any tips to give for future brides about getting married in Fiji?

May was a perfect time to have the wedding, the weather was great – not too hot that you melted in your dress! – and it didn’t rain the whole time we were there.

How did you enjoy the day?

The day was amazing from start to finish. Everything was easy and worked out as planned – Caireen made sure of that!

How was your experience with your wedding planner Anna Wilson from Our Weddings?

Anna and Ida from Our Weddings/Our World, were fantastic!! Between them all our wedding arrangements were sorted. All the accommodation for us, our friends and family. They were very patient with our changes and to-ing and fro-ing.

Where about did you purchase your dress? Your shoes? And Justin’s gown? The rings?

My dress was purchased from Bridal Brilliance in Auckland, my jandals (flip flops) were from Havaiana, as well as the bridal party. The rings are from Naveya & Sloane and Michael Hill Jeweller.

How was your experience with the photographer 😉 ?

Anais was awesome, she made us feel comfortable being photographed and knew the backdrop of Fiji well capturing the sunset at the right time. Anais moved around quietly in the background snapping photo’s of the day. Easy to deal with and turnaround time on the finish product was great!
