Mary Anne and Timbo are running a wedding venue in Melbourne, which typically hosts between 200 to 300 guests… So you can imagine why they just wanted a simple elopement in Fiji, with only their two children! They tried during Covid to elope in the Whitesundays on Whiteheaven beach five times but it got postponed every time because of borders closures and Fiji opened up before Queensland did so they decided to jump on a plane and finally get married on a tropical island.

Vomo island was the perfect choice for them because they could relax, while their children were taken care of by the kids club or the nannie. The high end service and delicious meals prepared by the five stars resort was also part of the luxurious experience they were after.

Mary Anne says : « Vomo was exceptional every step of the way. The day was spectacular, an intimate family affair that was perfect. Trust in the professionals, having worked in the wedding industry for over 20 years I would usually be very specific and need to know every detail.

They had brought many gorgeous details for their special day : Mary Anne’s head piece has been made by her dear friend back in Australia. The inside layer of Timbo and the page boy’s suits had a funny fabric with skulls, the beige and floral wedding dress was absolutely divine… dress by Kinsman.

Choosing a photographer was always going to be a challenge, my first instinct was to fly one from Australia but my good friend and photographer run Melbourne helped with looking up online and the moment we read the bio and emotion from Anais on her website we were hooked.  Communication and information was so easy and made the whole experience amazing. On the day, lots of laughs and a relaxed photo session which resulted in beautiful photos that we cherish.
