Photographing Katie and Lee’s elopement filled me with pure joy. They exchanged their vows on the beautiful Natadola beach by Yatule resort. They prepared for the ceremony at the Intercontinental Resort. Katie is kindly sharing their experience :
How and why did you choose Yatule for your venue? Did you like it?
We decided to stay at The InterContinental as we loved their accommodation options and facilities however their wedding package was out of our budget. We approached an Australian based Fiji Tourism company (Fiji Island Holidays, Mona Vale, Sydney) and they recommended to have our ceremony next door at Yatule. We are very happy with our decision to stay at The Inter and get married on the same stretch of beach at Yatule.
Who was your make up artist? How did you choose her?
Fiji Island Holidays recommended Totoka Hair to me and I would be only to happy to do the same. Lydia did my hair and makeup and she was fantastic. As we were eloping, it was lovely to have someone so friendly to join me whilst I got ready.
How did you choose your dress and where did you buy it from? And what about the suit?
I purchased my dress from Marry Me Bridal, Mosman, Sydney, Australia after some girlfriends also got their dresses from the same store. It was the fifth dress I tried and I knew it was the one!
Lee’s outfit, a very casual choice, was perfect for the Fiji beach setting. This was purchased again in Sydney at Tarocash.
Can you describe your experience with Anais Photography?
Absolutely fantastic! We found you after researching Cloud 9 to visit during our stay. Your freelance work for them was fantastic. We did contact some other local photographers however you were the most helpful, returned emails promptly and within our budget. We didn’t look any further.
Do you have any advice for brides organising their wedding in Fiji?
Do it! It was exactly what we had pictured for our day and we are so happy with how it worked out! We are a highly organized couple and I think this helped ensure that everything ran smoothly not only in the lead up but on the day also.
How did you feel on your wedding day? What emotion went through you?
Strangely, we felt very relaxed! Again a testament to how organized we are and the fact that we were on holidays in Fiji. But, we were both just so happy to be getting married.
There was not stress, fear or anxiety – just pure joy.
How are you enjoying your post wedding life as a couple?
Well things have been very busy since returning home and it has been a very happy time!
