Ally and Scott got married in February at the Warwick in Fiji. The weather is a bit risky between December and and April as it is the wet season in Fiji. It’s very hot and there might be some rain showers, But this didn’t affected the day. The ceremony had to be moved inside but it didn’t made the set up any less beautiful.
We got so lucky as it didn’t rain during the formal photography and the couple and the bridal party could take stunning pictures on the beach with very soft light as the sun was naturally diffused by the clouds, so no squinting!
The day was filled with joy, emotion and a lot of fun as their closest and funniest friends flew all the way to Fiji to spend a fantastic week of holidays with them. These are their words :
Why did you choose the Warwick? How was your experience with the resort?
We were looking at a few hotels at the time the Warwick had the best deal. We loved the Warwick…. it was gorgeous… the water crystal clear the people so friendly the food and drinks were yummy.
Any tips to give for future brides about getting married in Fiji?
Instagram was my best place for finding things I needed such as makeup artists. Our amazing photographer Anaïs. Just search by hash tags.
Anyone considering getting married in Fiji. Just do it. It was way cheaper than a wedding in Australia and you get a holiday with your close family and friends included.
How did you enjoy the day?
The day was amazing. It all went very fast though.
Where did your flowers came from?
My flowers came from the resort the bridesmaids flowers I made myself from artificial flowers. I made mine and Amelia’s head pieces and the bridesmaids maid their own head pieces. We did that together a few weeks before the wedding it was lots of fun.
Totoka hair and makeup. They were so amazing. I highly recommend Lodo for your make up. Lodo made the day relaxing and fun.
Your dress? Your shoes? And Scott’s gown? The rings?
My dress I purchased from my sister-in-law, I was barefooted I wore foot jewels from forever soles, Scott’s outfit was from a few men’s stores in Australia. My ring was from Michael Hill and Scott’s from a smaller jewellery store called MVS jewellers.
How was your experience with the photographer 😉 ?
Anaïs was amazing from the beginning. I had enquired with a few photographers but they were not as engaged at Anaïs. She was very keen to know our story from the beginning and wanting to make our day AMAZING and she did. She listened to what we wanted and followed through with our wishes.
