One year before their wedding Audrey and Stefan contacted me and I got totally charmed by their story. I could feel how deep their love is. They tell us about their story with poetry then answer to my questions about their wedding. They give us plenty of precious information for futur brides and grooms. The photographs following this interview testify in detail of a happy and beautiful day. It was filled with energy and emotions, from them getting ready, to the civil union, the church ceremony, the cocktail, dinner and dance party with joyful children and laughter.
How did you meet?
There are trips that you plan, organise, dream of. You picture yourself running towards the sun, crossing the sea, getting sun kissed… And that is just then that the unexpected happens, that the sky tears itself, when all you can look at is this unknown person, who you desire. A look, a smile, words don’t exist anymore : they would only break this newly born emotion. Stepfan has meet Audrey. A second, a minute, an hour, a day. Time had stopped because they had to give themselves up. Too fast. Too long. Without knowing if they would see each others again. Then he came to visit her in Lyon (France) and very fast he wanted to kiss her, to embrace her, to take her away.
After one week their destiny was sealed.
They would have children, get married, the sky would be blue and the sun would be kinder, never another love could have been as crazy!
How and why did you choose the Olive Trees Domain for your wedding?
First we found it online and they were doing catering and venue all together. But the cook got sick and they stopped to cater. If we had known we probably would have choose a different venue.
Who was your hair dresser? How did you choose her?
Emilie Fernandez was a friend before anything else. She came all the way from the other side of France for our wedding.
And the make up artist?
Chloe Pereaux.
Where did you buy the wedding dress? And the suit? And the other accessories (rings, belt, shoes…)?
I have bought the suit at Soulery (in Toulouse, France) and the belt at Faune (Semalens).
And we’ve purchased the ring at Julien Dorcel.
Who was the florist? Which theme did you follow?
He is the Mions Town florist. We chose roses, callas and orchids.
Because we had met in Sicilia we were aiming at showing the colors of Italy, mainly red and white.
Who was your caterer? Would you recommend him?
He was Olivier Malingreau and we could recommend him. Very kind and a bit blunt. So don’t be uptight when you meet him!
Who was your DJ? Would you recommend him?
Sam Laval. More or less.
And what about the photographer?
She has been amazing and did more than what we had planned. We were delighted. Her work is to us pure happiness to look at.
It is at the same time poetic, bubbly, spontaneous, kind, warm and thoughtful.
I miss words to express what we felt and I don’t know how to express my gratitude towards her for her investment, kindness, time, patience and everything she gave us that day.
How did you choose your bridal party?
They were friends and family. Audrey’s best friend and sister. Stefan best friends.
Any advice to share with people getting married?
As far as I’m concerned the closer to the date the more I felt pressured. Don’t let that eat you alive! Nothing will be perfect but you are getting married with the woman you love. That’s what will stay.
